What Time Is The Block On Tonight? Wednesday 7 October: Family Visits and Hamish Blake
The Block is on Nine and 9Now on Wednesday 7 October at 7.30pm AEDT, and it's a new episode: night two of Outdoor Terrace and Pool Week. Nine's guide gives it 76 minutes, six more than the 70 it showed for this episode a day earlier.
It reads like a lighter night on site. Nine's synopsis has the teams reunited with their families before Hamish Blake turns up unannounced to put them through their paces. Nothing gets judged until Sunday 11 October.
What time is The Block on tonight?
7.30pm AEDT on Nine for the Wednesday 7 October episode. Nine's yourTV guide for Sydney starts it at 7.31pm and has the next show, Chefs Ahoy, at 8.47pm, so that's a 76-minute slot. TVmaze lists the same episode at 7.30pm with a 70-minute running time.
Those are Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Hobart clocks. Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia stayed on standard time when daylight saving began on Sunday 4 October, and Nine programs some of those markets locally. The capital city times guide has each one.
Is The Block new tonight, or a repeat?
New. Nine's guide and TVmaze both have Wednesday 7 October as season 22, episode 39, first run. Miss it and there are two ways back: 9Now adds the episode after broadcast, and yourTV shows The Block in Nine's 12.00pm daytime slot on Thursday 8 October.
What happens on The Block on Wednesday 7 October?
Family first, then Hamish. Nine's one-line synopsis says the teams are re-united with their families and that Hamish Blake makes a surprise appearance "to put The Blockheads through their paces". It doesn't say what he has them doing, or whether anything is up for grabs.
The build itself is the outdoor terraces and pools, which started on Tuesday. Tuesday's rundown covers that first night, and the scores from Monday's kids room and re-do room reveal are on the 5 October results page.
What nights is The Block on for the rest of the week?
Wednesday and Thursday at 7.30pm, a two-night break, then Sunday at 7.00pm. This is what the guides showed when we read them on Wednesday 7 October.

Slot lengths for Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday are worked out from the start times in Nine's Sydney guide. Monday 12 October is beyond what we could open in Nine's guide, so that row is TVmaze's listing only. The planner for 5 to 11 October has the other networks.
Is The Block on Thursday night?
Yes. Thursday 8 October at 7.30pm AEDT is episode 40, the third build night of the week. Nine's Sydney guide has it from 7.31pm to 8.40pm, when Paramedics starts.
When we read Nine's synopsis for that episode on Tuesday 6 October, it had Tayla finding out someone else had used her pool tiles, with every team short on time. It's the second week running with a Thursday episode, after 1 October.
When is the next room reveal on The Block?
Sunday 11 October at 7.00pm AEDT. Nine lists it as the Outdoor Terrace and Pool Reveal, running to 8.40pm ahead of 60 Minutes, and TVmaze has it at 100 minutes too. Nine's listing, read on Tuesday 6 October, put $10,000 on the line for the winning team.
That puts the reveal back on a Sunday for the first time since 20 September. Sport took the slot on the two Sundays after that, which is what the Grand Final Sunday explainer was about.
Where can I stream The Block?
9Now has it live and on catch-up, free with a Nine account. For the standing nights there's the how to watch The Block guide. The auction date guide follows how close the finale is, and earlier nights are in the Block archive.
