Is The Block On Tonight? No — Thursday 17 September, and When the Kitchen Reveal Airs
There is a rhythm to Nine's Thursday nights, and The Block is not part of it. The show has run Sunday to Wednesday all season, so the last time anyone touched a paint roller on screen was Wednesday's episode 28, and the next time is Sunday.
That leaves four nights without a reveal, a room score or a Scotty Cam voiceover. Here is what fills them, and what lands when the kitchens finally face the judges.
Is The Block on tonight?
No. There is no Block on Thursday 17 September, and there won't be one on Friday or Saturday either. Nine schedules the season Sunday to Wednesday, which is the same pattern it has used since the 2 August premiere.
The night that just went to air, Wednesday's episode 28, was Kitchen Week day three. Painting was still unfinished across all five houses, and our results write-up has the cheating row that came with it.

When is The Block back on?
Sunday 20 September at 7.00pm on Nine and 9Now. TV Blackbox signed off Wednesday's recap with the same line, and the episode guide lists it as episode 29, Kitchen Reveal.
Reveal nights start half an hour earlier than the weeknight episodes, so 7.00pm rather than 7.30pm. It is the seventh reveal of the season, and the first since Rick and Tayla's 17 for the guest suite.
What is the $100,000 riding on the kitchens?
It is three prizes bundled together rather than a cheque. TV Blackbox breaks it down as a $30,000 gold bar from Kinsman that gets auctioned with the house, $60,000 of Dekton from Cosentino to use elsewhere in the build, and a $10,000 room prize from Chery.

Is The Voice on tonight?
No. Seven has run The Voice on Sundays and Mondays through the finals, and the last episode was Quarter Final 2 on Monday.

What's on Nine at 7.30pm instead?
A one-off. Nine is marking 70 years of Australian television with Tipping Point: 70 Years of TV, listed at 7.31pm for 78 minutes, with Todd Woodbridge putting three famous Nine duos against the machine for $40,000 in charity money.

What can I watch on 9Now and 7plus tonight?
Every Block episode of the season sits on 9Now, free, and 7plus has the Voice quarter finals in the same way. Both apps add the new episode shortly after it finishes on air.

Has The Block been axed or moved? Neither. Thursday has never been a Block night this season, and Nine has it back in its usual Sunday slot in three days.
What time does the Kitchen Reveal start in Perth and Adelaide? Nine's local stations set their own start, so check 9Now's guide for your area. Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane share the 7.00pm clock until daylight saving begins on Sunday 4 October.
