Thursday and Sunday come from Nine's yourTV guide for Sydney, read on Thursday 8 October. Monday is in TVmaze and, as of Thursday 8 October, in Nine's guide too at 7.30pm for 75 minutes.
Is The Block on tonight, Thursday 8 October?
Yes. Nine's Sydney guide starts it at 7.31pm, and TVmaze has the same episode at 7.30pm. It's the second Thursday in a row with an episode, after 1 October, which matters because Thursday isn't one of the show's usual nights.
The standing pattern is Sunday at 7.00pm and Monday to Wednesday at 7.30pm. Our how to watch The Block guide keeps that pattern, and the planner for 5 to 11 October shows where this extra night sits against the other networks.
What time is The Block on tonight?
7.30pm AEDT on Nine for the Thursday 8 October episode, with a listed running time of 69 minutes in Nine's guide. TVmaze rounds it to 70. Either way it's the shortest night of the week: Tuesday's slot was 77 minutes and Wednesday's 76.
That's the clock in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Hobart. Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia didn't move when daylight saving began on Sunday 4 October, and Nine programs some of those markets locally, so check the capital city times guide if you're watching from one of them.
Is The Block new tonight, or a repeat?
New. Both guides have Thursday 8 October as season 22, episode 40, a first run. The repeat is the daytime one: Nine's guide also carries The Block at 12.00pm on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 October, and 9Now adds each episode after it goes to air.
What happens on The Block on Thursday 8 October?
Pool tiles, mostly. Nine's synopsis for episode 40 says Tayla finds out someone else has used her pool tiles "and she is not happy". It doesn't name the other team. The same line has every team struggling with how much they still need to get done.
That's all Nine has published ahead of broadcast, so we're not guessing at the rest. The week began on Tuesday (Tuesday's rundown), and Wednesday brought family visits and Hamish Blake (Wednesday's rundown). Nobody gets scored on Thursday.
Why isn't The Block on Friday or Saturday?
Nine hasn't scheduled one. Its Sydney guide for Friday 9 October has The Block only in the 12.00pm daytime slot, and the next evening episode in the guide is Sunday's. Friday and Saturday aren't among the show's regular nights.
When is the next room reveal on The Block?
Sunday 11 October at 7.00pm AEDT. Nine lists it as the Outdoor Terrace and Pool Reveal at 100 minutes, and its synopsis puts $10,000 on the line for the winning team. TVmaze has the same date, time and length.
It's the first Sunday reveal since 20 September. Sport took the slot on 27 September and 4 October, which is what the Grand Final Sunday explainer covered. Last week's judging went to Monday instead, and those scores are on the 5 October results page.
What's on The Block next week?
TVmaze lists Monday 12 October at 7.30pm as episode 42, the start of Backyard and Garage Week, with former contestants Steph and Gian dropping by. Nine's Sydney guide has the same night at 7.30pm for 75 minutes, but its synopsis mentions two challenges and not that visit, so treat the storyline as listed, not locked. The auction date guide tracks what Nine has and hasn't said about the finale. Older nights are in the Block archive.
