Australian Reality TV Next Week (12–18 October, 2026): Block Mon–Wed, No Thursday Episode
Short version:
- The Block is on Nine and 9Now on three weeknights in the week of 12 October: Monday 12, Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 October at 7.30pm AEDT.
- Thursday 15 October has no Block. Nine's Sydney guide lists RBT at 7.30pm that night, so the run is one night shorter than the week of 5 October.
- It's Backyard and Garage Week. TVmaze lists the reveal for Sunday 18 October at 7.00pm; Nine's own guide didn't reach that date when we checked on Saturday 10 October.
Is The Block on next week?
Yes, Monday to Wednesday, with the reveal listed for the Sunday. Here is the week of 12 October as the guides had it on Saturday 10 October.
| Date | Time (AEDT) | Channel/stream | What's on |

Times are from yourTV's Sydney guide for Nine, which prints the Monday and Tuesday starts as 7.31pm and the Wednesday start as 7.30pm. Episode numbers match TVmaze, whose running times differ by a few minutes (75, 70 and 75).
If you're catching up first, the Outdoor Terrace and Pool Reveal on Sunday 11 October at 7.00pm closes out the week covered in last week's planner.
Why is there no Block on Thursday 15 October?
Nine hasn't said. What we can see is the listing: the Sydney guide has A Current Affair at 7.00pm, RBT at 7.30pm, Paramedics at 8.30pm and RPA at 9.30pm on Thursday 15 October, and no Block anywhere in the evening.
That's a change from the week before, when the show ran Monday to Thursday and we wrote up the Thursday 8 October episode. It also puts the week back on the show's usual three-weeknight pattern, the one in our how to watch The Block guide.
Seven has the Rugby League World Cup opener, Australia v New Zealand, on that Thursday night. That's on a rival network, and we've seen nothing from Nine linking the two.
What happens on The Block from Monday to Wednesday?
Backyard and Garage Week begins. Nine's guide summary for Monday 12 October says the teams take part in two challenges that bring some light relief and help with their dwindling budgets.
Tuesday's summary is the tense one: the Blockheads face the prospect of not finishing what the guide calls their enormous backyards and garage spaces. Wednesday's entry repeats Monday's wording word for word, so we'd treat that one as a placeholder until Nine files a proper summary.
TVmaze labels all three as Backyard and Garage Week nights and keeps the reveal for Sunday. Every night so far is in the Block archive, and the most recent room scores we've published are in the 5 October results.
When is the Backyard and Garage Reveal?
TVmaze lists it for Sunday 18 October at 7.00pm, as episode 45, running 100 minutes. That's the normal Sunday reveal slot.
We couldn't check it against Nine. The yourTV guide only ran to Friday 16 October when we read it, so treat the Sunday as listed, not locked. Nine has moved a Sunday reveal twice this season for sport, on 27 September and 4 October, so it's worth a look at the guide on the day.
Can I watch The Block during the day?
Yes. Nine's Sydney guide has a midday encore of the previous night's episode at 12.00pm on Monday 12, Tuesday 13, Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 October. Monday's is the Outdoor Terrace and Pool Reveal from the night before.
9Now carries each episode on demand as well. Clock times in other capitals are handled in our capital city times guide.
How close is The Block 2026 auction?
Closer, but still undated. Nine hadn't announced an auction date in anything we'd read by Friday 9 October. Our auction date guide sets out what's known and what isn't.
Is Big Brother Australia on next week?
No. 10's Sydney guide has no Big Brother on any night from Sunday 11 to Friday 16 October, and TVmaze lists none through Monday 19 October. The premiere was reported for Monday 26 October on 10 by Pedestrian, Now To Love and New Idea on 5 and 6 October. The house, the host and the start time question are in our Big Brother 2026 guide.
What about The Voice, Survivor and MAFS?
Nothing in the week of 12 October. The Voice Australia finished on Sunday 27 September, and TVmaze has no Australian Survivor or Married at First Sight episodes listed between 11 and 19 October. The 2027 reality line-up tracks what's been confirmed for next year.
